Technical Notes

FABIG Technical Notes complement the Interim Guidance Notes and contain qualitative and quantitative criteria  for fire and explosion resistant design of oil and gas installations. FABIG Technical Notes are the only available documents within the industry with step-by-step procedures and worked examples for the design of topside structures and onshore plants to withstand fires and explosions. 

At least one Technical Note is produced every 2 years and this is usually developed as a result of a Joint Industry Project.  Topics for Technical Notes are normally decided by the FABIG Steering Committee and address critical gaps in our knowledge of fires and explosions.
