Register NOW for our next Lunchtime Webinar - Wednesday 31st March 2021
18 March 2021
We are pleased to confirm our next FABIG Lunchtime Webinar 'Hydrogen and ammonia Vapor Cloud Explosions - A tale of two gases' presented by Darren Malik from BakerRisk on Wednesday 31st March 2021 at 13.00 BST.
For additional information and registration, please go to the Events section of the website.
Hydrogen has already established a key role in the low carbon energy mix of the future. However, concerns associated with flammability and explosion risks remain. Ammonia offers to be a potential carbon-free hydrogen carrier that could be utilised to facilitate the transport and storage of hydrogen at a lower risk. This webinar will examine and compare the properties and behaviours of the two gases, drawing on the results of extensive full-scale VCE testing performed by BakerRisk in recent years.
FABIG WEBINAR SERIES
We will be organising lunchtime webinars every two weeks whilst working life remains disrupted by measures to combat the COVID-19 epidemic. Such measures either prohibit or make inadvisable large meetings such as our Technical Meetings.
We are looking for presentations covering topics relevant to the following themes:
- Robust Principles for Safe Design against Fires & Explosions based on Experience;
- Fire and Explosion Hazards from Low Carbon Energy Sources (we are also looking for presentations covering related incidents).
As such, please do not hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you or one of your colleagues would like to give a relevant presentation.
Take care and stay safe,
