TECHNICAL GUIDANCE

The Interim Guidance Notes (IGN) was published in 1992 and was the first reference document for the design and protection of topside structures against fires and explosions. The FABIG Technical Notes complement and update the IGN and are widely used throughout the energy industry.

Employees from a member organisation can download the IGN and all the Technical Notes from the Technical Guidance section of the website.

TECHNICAL PRESENTATIONS AND VIDEOS

FABIG organises 2 Technical Meetings per year on topics relevant to the challenges faced by the energy sector in relation to fire & explosion hazards. They are generally 2-day events comprising presentations from invited industry experts held in London, UK and available via Live Webcast.

Employees from Member organisations can access all the presentations and video recordings from past Technical Meetings from the Technical Presentations & Videos section of the website.

TECHNICAL NEWSLETTERS

FABIG releases at least 2 Technical Newsletters per year comprising technical articles on the latest developments in fire and explosion engineering. Published articles are authored by both academics and industry experts and cover results from ongoing research, innovative technical solutions, current best practice and case studies.

Employees from Member organisations can download all our Newsletters from the Technical Newsletters section of the website.

OTHER PUBLICATIONS AVAILABLE THROUGH FABIG

This section provides access to relevant publications falling outside of the other categories.
